Our men in Mexico ask you to continue to pray for Vocations, especially during this time. The March Misal Mensual (Monthly Misallette) has an ad in it for Holy Cross. It was put together by Father Marin Hernandez and features two of our professed, Luis Antonio Perez and Carlos Jacobo. It is very well done. Congratulations to Marin, Luis Antonio and Carlos.

Father Andrew Morasse of the English Canadian province came down to visit us in Austin.  He had planned a trip with another priest to go to Australia, but the other priest had a stroke.  We'll pray for the other priest, but we are glad Andrew came to see us!!!

We have received word that Father Jim Mulligan has had surgery for the hip joint.  One of the results of the surgery is that leg is now longer than it had been; it had been a tad shorter than the other after his accident.  We wish him well and a speedy recovery.

We got a report from the Health Ministry at Dolores Parish.  They had a health fair last November.  They checked people's blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol, and weight.  We discovered that most people are overweight and need to to watch what they eat and exercise more.  They do say that a parish reflects the qualities of the pastor....
