Brother Thomas Krieter and Father John Korcsmar drove down to Laredo for a Mass.  Actually, Brother Thomas drove, and Father John slept.  (We all have our appropriate talents!!)  They gathered at the home of Minerva Camarena Skeith's grandmother's house.  Everyone was there, including Paul (Minerva's husband), Samuel (their child), and even Rocky (the boxer).  They celebrated the one year anniversary of death for Minerva's grandmother.  Quite a few of the family gathered around.  After visiting and having dinner after Mass, Tom and John returned to Austin.

It was a nice family gathering.  It is indeed important for family members, not only to pray for those who have gone before us, but also to remember the individuals and the qualities that made them so dear and so important to us.  So much of who we are and what we have comes from those who have gone before us.

By the way, while we were there, Samuel said his second name: "Juan."  Father John couldn't beat out Joyce, but he came in a good second.

Brother Thomas and Father John returned to Austin.  Minerva, Paul, Samuel, Rocky, and Minerva's parents remained in Laredo.  Nevertheless, John got a phone call on Monday morning.  "Are you walking?," asked Minerva.

Couples from Dolores Parish have been attending the Dínamicas Matrimoniales even since Father Marin Hernandez has been at Dolores.  We have a blessing at Sunday Mass to send them off.  When they return, we have a pot luck dinner.

Some of the husbands who have been to the dinamicas matrimoniales. John and Teodoro chat.
Mrs. Rivera and Mrs. Prieto prepare the food. His wife couldn't come (she had to work), but he can still eat!!
