TexLaMex, August 2005, Page 4

The celebration was indeed grand.  There was music, dancing, speeches, a blessing, and a toast.  You don't see the toast because the reporter/photographer covering this story was drinking.

One of the highlights of the new building are the two windows done by Brother John Benesh from the novitiate.  He was only able to get the glass the Tuesday before the (Sunday) blessing and did a fine job.

Dancers from Yancana Huasy (a school for children with disabilities, founded and operated by Holy Cross) perform a dance about collaboration in building. Congressman Javier Diez Fonseca tells the story of how he contracted polio as a child.  He received treatment and therapy, but it made him wonder about all the children who do not get such treatment.  Why some and not all?
The senior citizens can also dance; here they do Tai Chi. Maybe this is a dance that Fr. John Korcsmar could handle!!
Bishop Strotmann speaks to the people. He lives across the street from the Holy Cross Novitiate. Brother John Benesh, CSC stands by his latest work of art: a window at the receptionist's office.  Well done, Brother John!!!
