Father John Korcsmar drove two novices from Colorado Springs, Ben Rossi and Kevin Grove, to Monterrey. They stayed with the professed. Fr. Len Collins gave them a tour of the Holy Cross people, ministries, and places. One afternoon they had dinner with the elderly at San Matias.
One evening John had Mass and dinner with the professed, and the next evening with the candidates.

Fr. John Korcsmar flew down to Lima to be an observer at the District of Peru chapter. Fr. Jaime Phalan picked him up at the Lima airport and took him to the novitiate where he spent Sunday night. At breakfast the next morning, he saw all of the novices:
