The parish in Monterrey continues to grow. Last August the new main church was dedicated. Here are some pictures that might help to see what things look like there:

Our reporter in Ghana has been busy--as have the other Holy Cross people!! We include their news:
These last two weeks have been busy
Greetings and peace in the Lord!
These last two weeks have been busy and grace-filled ones in Ghana.
On Friday, October 6th, we had a big meeting here at Moreau House for our Golden Jubilee. We had asked some 17 lay collaborators to assist us with their ideas etc.
in planning the Golden Jubilee of Holy Cross in Ghana. They are people with a lot of experience in conducting such events here in Ghana. So we invited them for an evening meeting and meal here at Moreau House, Butumagyebu.
Also this month we had the joy of receiving some 13 new candidates into our formation programme at St. John's - St. Joseph Hall. Several of them are in this photo - some were not present due to exams they were taking. Keep them in your prayers.

Then on Saturday, the 7th, we all gathered at the District Center to celebrate what has become our annual Holy Cross Family Day. On that day members of the District invite families members to come and spend a day with us at the Center. In that way we get to know the families of our members and they get to know one another. We had a morning Eucharist and the afternoon for a meal and sharing. On that day we had the joy of welcoming back to Ghana two new Ghanaian Holy Cross Sisters (Sister Theresa Famiyeh and Sr. Scholastica Ampadu) who returned to Ghana after making their first vows at the end of their Novitiate in Uganda. Their picture is in the album link below. It was a grand gathering. Our new candidates were there with us as well.

Then on the 9th October the Holy Cross Home of Hope opened it doors to receive new members. Unfortunately the first night was spent in darkness for we are still having a power sharing exercise throughout the whole country. Some 23 young men are now in residence at the new home. You can take a look at the Holy Cross Home of Hope and its residents by clicking on the following link.
