Angel Hernandez Perez
recently decided to leave our
formation program. Although he is from Oaxaca, he came to us from Coachella.
We thank him for his years with us and wish him luck in the future. He plans
to stay in Monterrey and continue his education.
On Saturday evening, March 6,
the Initial Formation Community in Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon celebrated the
birthday of Carlos Jacobo de los Santos.
The tradition in the Professed House is to go to a restaurant to celebrate.
Pecos Bill's is the favorite when
Father John Korcsmar is in
town. Instead of going out, Carlos celebrated in the house with "carne asada"
for all the Holy Cross people in formation, both men and women. It was an
exercise in "community" as both the men and the women prepared the
celebration. They then celebrated together. A good time was had by all!!
A pastor--leader--organizer
has to have many skills: preaching, teaching, administering, celebrating.
Here Father John Korcsmar
shows some of his special skills
at an Austin Interfaith meeting at Sacred Heart Parish in Austin.
