On June 27, 2006 Paulino Antonio Inés was ordained a deacon at La Luz Parish in Cd. Guadalupe by Bishop Lizares.

Paulino came to the Congregation from a ranch near Tamán, San Luis Potosí.  His first language is Nahuatl.  He had a fair amount of schooling to catch up on, but he has done well in his studies in prepa, philosophy, and theology.  This coming year he will be in his fourth year of theology.  He will live and work part-time at La Luz Parish with Fr. Pete Logsdon.  He will finish his theological studies, and we hope that he is ordained a priest after completing his fourth year.

Although the church was not completely finished, we used the new church for the ordination.  After the Mass, a meal was served by the San Matias chapel in the old church building.

Pati, one of the candidates for the Holy Cross Sisters, was one of the readers.

Mario and Martha shared the role of monitor during the Mass and ordination. John presents Paulino to the bishop for ordination to the diaconate.
The bishop ordains Paulino. Len Collins and others offer Paulino the sign of peace.
Paulino's brother and sister-in-law bring up the gifts at the offertory. Paulino assists at the altar.
Father Pete Logsdon, the pastor, thanks the choirs, the workers who prepared the church, Paulino's family, the bishop, and all who made the celebration possible. The seminarians look on approvingly.
