Sunday morning Father John Korcsmar went to la Capilla Santz Cruz, one of 19 chapels in Nuestro Señor de la Esperanza in Canto Grande, Lima, Peru.  There are 25 Masses each week-end for the 200,000 Catholics in the parish.  John concelebrated with Father Bob Baker; José Luis, a newly ordained Holy Cross deacon, preached.  Santa Cruz is the chapel where José Luis was born and raised.

After Mass they went to the formation house and visited the Father Peyton Center for Holy Family Ministries.  There are 10 classrooms, a small chapel, offices, a dining room, a hall for presentations that seats 162, an amphitheater for 600 people, and a small sports court.

After all this, they went to an Argentine grill.

It does not come out very well in the picture, but if you look carefully, you can see that the shadows effect the anchors for the cross and anchors.

There was a process outside the cathedral.  Men carried a statue of Our Lord on their shoulders.  On the same day 9 nine were ordained to the priesthood in the cathedral. If you look closely above the lady in pink, you can see the truck with the water cannons.  It was there ever since the expected demonstration.  They don't take chances.
