One morning, Minerva Camarena Skeith made breakfast for John before they went walking. John "helped" while she was making breakfast by holding Agustin and singing to him. The singing didn't make him cry, which was a minor miracle. However, as John sang the Notre Dame Victory March to him, Agustin went to sleep. A bad sign for this season??? Let's hope not!
A few years ago, there were two hurricanes in a row, "Andrew" and "Bonnie." This was of interest to John since his brother and sister-in-law are Andrew and Bonnie. Then he saw that there is a hurricane on the eastern Pacific named "John." This made him curious: Who else might be on the list? So he looked, and for heaven's sake the same list of names includes: John, Carlotta, Olivia and Rose. This is interesting because at Dolores Parish, there is Father John, Sister Carlota, Sister Olivia, and Sister Rose. John was disappointed that there was no Lili to round out the list of religious connected to Dolores, but then wherever Sr. Lili goes, she moves so quickly that she creates her own whirlwind!!!
Speaking of Sr. Lili, she offered to cut Fr. John's hair. Sr. Judy Murphy responded with, "What hair??" Nevertheless, the price was right, so John accepted. John said something about Lili being a barber, and Lili informed him that she is a stylist. All of this raises a number of questions:
Can you picture John getting his hair cut by a STYLIST????
How many other Holy Cross Sisters have had a razor to a Holy Cross priest's throat? How many would like to??
Will being shaved with a PINK razor affect John in any adverse way??
Make sure to read TexLaMex next month for the answers to these questions!!!!!!
