Every
year about this time, we celebrate the anointing of the sick, with a special
invitation to the elderly. After the anointing, we have a lunch for
them. The favorite meal is caldo: it is easier to eat than other
things if you have fewer teeth!
After the meal there are door prizes and bingo.
Sr. Carlota is organizing posadas. They begin each evening in a different part of the neighborhood. People process, singing hymns. After they arrive, they pray the rosary in church. Afterwards, there is a piņata, followed by cookies, snacks, and punch in the Family Center.
On the first night, a young child hit the piņata. It only took two swings for the piņata to give up all its candy. We have strong kids in Montopolis!
