Sr. Guadalupe Rosa of the Carmelite Sisters died recently in Houston, TX.  She was the superior of the sisters at Moreau Seminary when they first arrived there from Washington.  Although many people referred to her as "Lupita" in the funeral, she was also "Madre Guadalupe" at Moreau.  May she rest in peace.

On his way back from Houston, John noticed the bluebonnets had started to bloom.  There were also a few (red) Indian paintbrushes.  There is an old tradition that the bluebonnets are the spots that Mary's mantle had touched the ground.  You will note that bluebonnets grow only in Texas.

Sister Nancy Pewterbaugh and Sister Anita celebrated their anniversaries of 50 and 25 years in religious life respectively at St. Ignatius.  Brother Thomas was the photographer for TexLaMex.
